Has anyone considered Sheila LaBarre as a suspect? She used to hang in Hampton and was charged with the murder of two young men recently. They found bones belonging to an unidentified third victim on her property and have yet to identify who they belong to.

do you consider him being murdererd because on one of the information pages said that there was curtis's gun do you wonder if it was recently shot or shot at him or what hotel it was at and why would the cops look there or did someone checking in find it and report it to police

They have had a viable suspect fr a long time now !! His Name is Robert April he worked at venture at the same time curt and I did but still are trying to obtain enough evidence ro prove it! as for curts gun it was found in a bag at his hotel room and found not to have been fired .
the bigest problem in seabrook is that many of them are related to one another in one way or another therefore making it very hard to obtain any new leads..

Robert April has been the person of interest in the case since 2005. Police have named him numerous times. Their theory is he was committing thefts at Venture Corp, setting the fire to divert the one security guard. The fire was quickly extinguished and Curtis, who typically didn't walk much due to MS, actually decided to walk around a bit, stumbling on a crime in progress.

One of the anonymous leads police acted on was based on Curt being beat to death, dismembered and buried in the woods.

Another possibly was his body was put in a concrete slab somewhere. While the police are probably on the right track, their searches haven't turned up anything.

April himself flat out admitted he killed and buried Pishon when threatening someone over a debt. That person ended up recanting his statement or simply not testifying against him. April has escaped jail a few times for that reason, people don't want to testify against him or they change their statement.

Like mentioned before, Seabrook is a close knit community. Everyone knows each other. The fear of retaliation is obvious. Sadly, this is why after 14 years a murderer still walks free. No one wants to go on record and risk having the same fate as Curtis.

Here's the problem with Seabrook

Everyone in town knows each other or is related in one way or another AND a strong dislike for police and those who talk to police.

So that's why it's now 15 years later and we have nothing.

The general consensus is Robert was caught with his hand in the cookie jar at work, Curtis busted him, he beat Curt to death, hid the body briefly at work, called his brother, body put in the truck, hacked up and in a cement slab somewhere.

You could literally ask any lifelong resident and you will get a similar chain of events. So it's quite remarkable everyone knows, police know and still no arrests.
